As part of SUNED’s vision and ongoing work to promote the Sunshine Coast as a world class international education destination, SUNED has initiated a global competition called ‘The World’s Best Study Adventure’!
WORLD’S BEST STUDY ADVENTURE
The World’s Best Study Adventure is a competition in which one International Student will win an all expenses paid trip to spend 7 weeks on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in 2011 to participate in a range of study course options, visit tourism destinations, enjoy sports and recreational activities, and experience the very best of the Sunshine Coast.
The World’s Best Study Adventure package includes:
Return airfares from country of origin
Airport transfers
Accommodation
Immigration/visa assistance
Study Course/s
Work Experiences on various resorts and tourist attractions
Sport, Tourism and Recreational Activities
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The World’s Best Study Adventure is available for participation for any person who is currently outside of Australia and who is available to study in Australia for a period of 7 weeks. Participants must be over 18 years of age. Participants will enter the competition by submitting a 60 second on-line video answering the question: “Why do you want to study on the Sunshine Coast?”
WHEN IS THE WORLD’S BEST STUDY ADVENTURE?
The Study Adventure will be officially launched in June 2011.
The winning entrant will enjoy 7 weeks on the Sunshine Coast.
HOW WILL THE WORLD’S BEST STUDY ADVENTURE BE PROMOTED?
The central marketing strategy of SUNED’s World’s Best Study Adventure will be an interactive social media campaign. The aim of the campaign will focus on making the Sunshine Coast a global brand via social media marketing.
During the entire 7 weeks of the Study Adventure, the student will write maintain a blogsite, post photos and upload video footage.
HOW WILL THE SUNSHINE COAST BENEFIT?
Through this targeting social media campaign, the entire Sunshine Coast region will be on display. The campaign will showcase the tourism, business and education opportunities on the Sunshine Coast. The campaign will drive business to the Sunshine Coast region and establish the Sunshine Coast as a global destination brand. It is estimated that at least 50,000 unique visitors will visit the SUNED and World’s Best Study Adventure website.
HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED?
We are seeking local businesses to become part of this fantastic campaign through a number of marketing options.
Businesses can become sponsors for the WBSA. Sponsorship benefits and buy-in costs are $1,000, $2000 & $5000. Sponsorships can include logo attachments on competition websites, advertorials & for the $5k sponsorship – access to all viewers’ contact details after the competition for marketing purposes.
Becoming an annual SUNED member for $300. All SUNED members will be promoted via our SUNED website which will be linked to the Study Adventure campaign and members have the opportunity to market their business throughout the campaign. SUNED members will also be able to market their business through the SUNED website and at all SUNED events throughout the year.
Provide in-kind donation – eg an in-kind voucher to use your products / services in the campaign. A video of the winner using your product will be seen on You Tube.
SUNED is aware of the difficulties facing local businesses with the downturn of the tourism industry. This campaign as an ideal opportunity for promoting the Sunshine Coast in the global market and promoting individual businesses. HOW WILL SUNED MEMBERS BENEFIT?
Current SUNED members will receive priority selection. It is expected that the campaign will reach a wide and diverse audience of at least 50,000 unique visitors to the SUNED website. SUNED members will benefit through mass media exposure. A database will be gathered and maintained for future global marketing campaigns highlighting SUNED members. During the entire 7 weeks of the Study Adventure, the student will write maintain a blogsite, post photos and video footage which will continue to reinforce the Sunshine Coast and SUNED branding.
