Matthew Flinders Anglican College
Today is another exciting day! I’ve visited 2 schools and an international apartment named Varsity Apartment. First we visit the Matthew Flinders Anglican College. Founded in 1990, Matthew Flinders Anglican College has enjoyed rapid growth. From an enrolment of 161 in its first year, the school now delivers quality education to approximately 1300 girls and boys. Situated on a 20 hectare site on the southern side of Buderim Mountain and only two kilometres from the centre of Buderim and the Sunshine Coast University, Matthew Flinders Anglican College provides its students with some of the most modern educational facilities in the region. Clare the International Coordinator welcomed me and it is very overwhelming. I had a great time for a morning tea with the principal and captain.
It was a great experience to visit the college. It is big campus for everybody and in my own opinion the quality of education here is high compared to other school. The technology is all modern, from grade 7 to grade 12, students have their own mac laptop. I was so impressed! Also, the architecture of the school was based on modernized structure and it is made in high quality materials.
I have met my dream theatre which located inside the campus. A world class theatre in which can handle more than 600 capacities inside, high quality materials from chairs, stage and dressing room. There is a music room, dance studio room, and theatre arts room. As I look around the place I had the goosebumps and how I wish to study here during my high school days.
I’ve given a chance to visit and observed the graphic arts of grade twelve. I was impressed with the room and the computer it is all high class. The students also are very clever to create their own masterpiece. Some created a car, restaurant, golf club etc, and I was absolutely impressed. How I wish also to study here.
The education here in Australia are different: You will start at preschool, which includes nursery, kindergarten. After that you proceed from grade one to grade six. Then grade seven going to grade twelve, on that level you can choose what is your specification if you want to be an agriculture, graphic artist, engineer etc .,so there is a specification to be practice as preparation for the University.
