I love environment that’s why I love Maleny

Had a great time at Maleny. For just 3 days of my stay, I really enjoy heaps of activities that Janet, Vince and Remy arranged for me. Remy prepared a fabulous food for me. She prepared a very delicious Kare-kare (beef with veges), Puto(Rice Cake), Bagoong (Salt fish), Prawns, and my favourite food Chicken Adobo, a real Filipino dish.

It’s nice to meet Filipino people in other country, spoke your own language, and understand each other. I really inpired with the stories of one of the successor Filipino lady named Remy Foard. She is very lovely and joker also like me. I laughed everytime she tells stories and I’m so very proud for her. She leave Philippines many years ago and got her own house her at Brisbane. She also have a family there and stable job. When remy tells a story about her life here in Australia you will inspired and you will be proud to be PINOY! we Filipinos are very deligent to work and aim a very successful life.

My room air-con is natural. The machine is the environment, in other word it is very cold. I woke up early in the morning to fix and explore Maleny with Janet, Remy and Vince. We went to Davin Linton Furniture Shop and Maleny RLS. David’s shop is fantastic, lots of unique furniture that made in woods and cutted figs or trees. In the other hand, Maleny RSL is wonderful, more interesting stuffs and food display in that market.

Vince brought me in a supermarket to the ingredients on how to make beer. I was amazed and now I can create a beer when I get back home. Cheers!

Our next destination is to visit Jill Morris, a very popular author that loves to wrote about the environment. We went to Jill’s house and the architecture of the house is unique. The shape is round and the setting inside is very different. FANTASTIC! They have a very huge land with different trees and plants. The breeze of the wind is very cool that freshens my breathing. We have a nice conversation and It is a self-fullfilling to me that there’s people who appreciate your video works even if you have just used a simple camera.

Thanks GOD for the wonderful day he made!

“WAITING”

The word “waiting” is very memorable for me. I remember that day, they have announced the winner. I’m very much excited to go to Sunshine Coast Australia, and when I first saw the place in Google, I said, wow this is my dream place. But I have encountered lots of sacrifices, to wait before everythings is to up, the visas, passport etc., They have announced it in September, and now it is February already., and for me waiting with patience is a good attitude, I will be not tired to wait again. I believe everything has a reason why we wait and soon, we will realize the importance of it.

The TV Guesting

Adrian Jandongan, a young photographer, video maker, graphics artist and nurse rolled into one, is the champion in the World’s Best Study Adventure hosted by the Sunshine Coast Australia recently.

“The event was designed to promote Australia’s tourism industry. They also want to open the country to international students and immigrants,” Jandongan told The News Today.

Jandongan narrated that the contest entailed making a one-minute video about adventure in one’s country and posting this in the internet. After the voting through Facebook, Jandongan, an artist in the United States and another from China made it to the top three. Then, their videos were judged by representatives from the Sunshine Coast Australia Council in order to come up with the champion.

His prize is a seven-week trip adventure in Australia. The trip consists of a tour in Sunshine Coast, course on Australian English, video production, cooking lessons and more. “There will be travel, too,” he excitedly said.

“After this trip, I will share what I have learned to my fellow Ilonggos,” he said. “I want to help my family, so if there is an opportunity to work there, I will grab it,” he added.

Jandongan shared that he and his family experienced how it is to be poor. “My parents are not professionals. We went to public school. During my elementary years, my sister Vanessa cooked food and I sold this in school. Sometimes, I sold scrap in order to earn money,” he narrated.

When his sister became a midwife and got a job in Ireland, she helped improve the family’s standard of living.

“From this experience, I could say to my fellow youth to love their dreams. To use their talents well. Be humble. And most of all, be grateful for what they have,” he said.

Jandongan will leave for Australia on February 28.

Inspirations of my journey

To whom i’ll be thakful?

First and for most I will thank GOD almighty for everything that he did for me, for the precious life, gift of talents, supportive family and good friends.

To my mother and father who always there no matter what happen, they always support me for everything, in success and failures they always there for me, lifted me up, and make me strong person to face the real life.

To my brothers and sisters, you make me inspired always and make me happy, thanks for the support that you gave. I know you did’nt expect that I can write this thank you message via blog…lol, I DON’T CARE IF I HAVE WRONG GRAMMAR, I believe that there are billions of people in earth and not all can write as good as this. =)huh! olala ohright!

To my fake brothers or let me say those who inherited by being close friends, you know who you are, thank you for giving me courage and accepting the real me. Ohhh boys drinking strong ice is not all about we want to get drunk all night but it is all about sharing our insights about the life that we want to be.
